Poem – Bread of Lifeby Celene Loo (Founder)
I was thirsty and hungry
You fed me bread and honey
I was weak and stressed
Your peace gave me restBut still famished
Your bread I ravish
I deplore
Insatiable for moreFive loaves and two fish
Miracles fulfilling the wish
Feeding the multitudes
Nourishing love multipliesYou are the bread of life
To cure us of our strife
Whoever eats this bread
Abundant life full in bred

What’s for Dessert? – Giving Bread
Grégoire Michaud Published 24.01.2011
There are several resolutions you might have taken for 2011. Like most, and understandably, you’ve made choices that will eventually benefit your self. Loosing weight, stop smoking or my favourite one baking more bread at home, may all be on your list. Gladly for us, destiny decided on one of our resolutions this year, when Celene Loo approached us concerning her organisation: Giving Bread. The name says it all; the charity collects bread and distributes it to the less fortunate and elderly, such as those living in cage homes.

Does this City Need God?
“I find your lack of faith . . . disturbing.” – Darth Vader
It’s my favourite time of the year. Christmas. The grandeur of decorative lights, the smell of Christmas trees and mistletoe, the comfort of gingerbread and, yes, the fun shopping for special presents for loved ones!
Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, the God for Christians. Today, of course, Christmas is celebrated around the world by non-Christians, but not for its religious origin. Which leads me to wonder: Does this city believe in God? Do we need God? Are we happy?
